TURBULENCE OF...

It was difficult to resist the temptation. I followed the instruction. There was the six letter word in bold Arial Black font
S I L E N C E.

Yes, a good break fast for my mind, I thought .

The question and its answer kept on reverberating in my mind for next an hour.

Every one I met in office during that asked " Hey what happened? What are you thinking?" I tried my best to avoid answering back, to stop another silence from being killed.

It was not long when my cynic mind came up with a counter question. Is the relation between "Silence" and "opening of mouth" symmetrical? Is the reverse also true? Will you be generating a SILENCE by keeping your mouth shut?

If the answer is yes, they why even switching off all those noisy gadgets and closing the door does not help me in finding out a little space where I can sit quite and listen to my own mind waves?

Why it is that I found myself struggling for silence even when the whole world around sleep?

Somehow in my mind I started connecting this post of yours to my post about the girl Thelma and her sisters...
for sure they kept the silence for many years, even though it was not at all a silent silence, but a silence full of horror and dispair...
just as well that she had the courage to kill their silence...

But this also reminded me of a very different thing: A famous psychological experiment where people were encouraged to push a button, giving electric shocks of increasing volume to persons in another room (fake of course) for a prize...the rate of people willing to go over the deadly limit, killing their victims was horrifying, it was 90% if I remember correctly. It followed the story that the real victims of the experiment, the only real participiants in the experiment, all had to have psychological therapy afterwards, when they realised how easily they had been led to commit such a crime.

ANY ANSWER?

Clemenceau… The ship that died. But didn’t stop killing. Imagine you're the State of France. What do you do with a 27,000-tonne warship full of asbestos, PCBs, lead, mercury, and other toxic chemicals, which you don't want and no European country is willing or able to scrap for you? Why, you send it off to India to be broken up by hand in a scrapyard where impoverished workers are injured and die every day? GREENPEACE, india

I AM ALIVE!

Every time I looked at the calendar I was happy, seeing the weekend coming closer. Two consecutive off days! There were so many things pending. Though I was expecting my new work profile to be consuming, but I never thought it would be so overriding. In spite of all my efforts throughout the past fortnight, I failed to manage time to blog. So, first thing I would do is to visit my favourite blogs and if possible post something, I decided. There were two tags from Jac and Aquamarine pending (almost for a month). I managed to sit and finished writing thems. But, thanks to many technical difficulties posting them remained to be a reality. Here comes another weekend and with a little time to spare, trying to post them. Here's the tag from Jac What were you doing 10 years ago? Busy cracking formulas and theories of mathematics. Five snacks you enjoy Potato chips, Aloo Bhujia, rusk, peanuts and samosas. Five songs to which you know all the lyrics Summer of 69, Best of Me, Everything I
